Wines labelled “Pays d'Oc” come from an area covering the whole of the Midi and the right bank of the southern Rhône. The label is inspired by the now very famous advertising posters for the Moulin Rouge in Paris by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, known for capturing the lightness of being in his pictures.Merlot conquered the world from France. A wine that is warm, soft and fruity. Its rich structure, its fruit and subtle tannins make it an uncomplicated food companion.

Character

This youthful Merlot presents itself blackish-red in the glass. On the nose and palate, it scores with a fruity sour cherry and blackberry aromatic profile. With appealing fruit and a firm tannin structure, it is an uncomplicated companion for many occasions.

With almost 290,000 hectares under vine, the Languedoc is France's largest wine-growing region. The name Languedoc derives from the Occitan “Langue d'oc”, an old regional Romance language. The area covers the three départements of Aude, Gard and Hérault. The vineyards mostly lie close to the coastline, stretching for almost 240 km. The climate is dry and hot in summer.

Character

A blend of Carignan, Grenache and Cinsault – medium dry, with soft fruit and Mediterranean spice.
