Pieroth Pinot Cuvée Réserve Brut German Sparkling Wine b.A. Nahe
«An excellent aperitif that also pairs wonderfully with fish and poultry dishes as a food companion.»Serving suggestion, Pieroth catalogue
In classic bottle fermentation, also known as the méthode traditionnelle or Champagne method, the second fermentation takes place in the sparkling wine bottle. This process is mandatory for the production of Champagne, Crémant and Cava. In Germany too, high-quality sparkling wines, primarily estate-grown Sekt, are increasingly produced using the Champagne method. The Pieroth Brut Réserve is a 2024 vintage Sekt made from the two white Burgundy varieties Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. For the first time, the basis of the carefully balanced dosage of this Brut Sekt is the Pieroth Grosses Gewächs Pinot Blanc of the 2024 vintage. Produced using the méthode traditionnelle – classic bottle fermentation – this was followed by a minimum nine-month ageing on the lees in the bottle.
This fantastic Burgundy cuvée of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris combines the typical fruit and elegance of Pinot Blanc with the spiciness of Pinot Gris, giving the Sekt a wonderful creamy texture.
Characteristics
The Pinot Réserve shows delicate, fruity notes of quince and golden kiwi fruit. The fine perlage delights, and the elegantly integrated acidity harmonises perfectly with the creamy texture of this Brut Sekt.
Serving suggestion
An excellent aperitif that also pairs wonderfully with fish and poultry dishes as a food companion.
