Wine description
Grillo originates from Sicily and is thought to be a cross between Catarratto and Zibibbo. It was formerly used mainly for the production of Marsala (fortified wine) due to its high sugar content and pleasant acidity. Today, Grillo is regarded as one of the finest white grape varieties of southern Italy; especially when vinified dry, it shows depth, freshness and character.
