The human body cannot produce omega-3 fatty acids itself. They must be regularly obtained through the diet. The long-chain fatty acids EPA and DHA in particular are considered the most biologically valuable members of the omega-3 family.

Alpvita Omega 3 Complex provides 470 mg of EPA and DHA per daily serving from high-quality fish oil from the south-east Pacific. The formula is complemented by selenium and natural beta-carotene from the microalga Dunaliella salina.

The formula

EPA & DHA contribute to normal heart function. DHA also contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision.

Selenium is an essential trace element. It contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress as well as to normal function of the immune system and the thyroid.

Beta-carotene comes from the microalga Dunaliella salina and serves the body as a natural precursor of vitamin A. Vitamin A contributes, among other things, to the maintenance of normal vision and to normal function of the immune system.
