1755 Reserva Vinho Regional Lisboa
«An ideal companion to pan-fried or grilled beef, beef sausages and hard cheese.»Serving suggestion, Pieroth catalogue
The Lisboa region was formerly called Estremadura and has developed over the past centuries into one of Portugal's most important winegrowing areas. In the region where the municipality of Arruda dos Vinhos is located, mild winters and relatively hot summers provide ideal conditions for viticulture.
Our wine comes from the Quinta de São Sebastião estate, founded in 1755. Since the 1980s it has been owned by the Antonio Perente family. The wines have received many awards, including “The best Red Wine in the World” at the Vinalies® Internationales.
Characteristics
Fermentation takes place under controlled temperature at 24°C in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for a further 9 months in French oak casks. The Reserva has a dark ruby-red colour and is characterised by an intense aromatic profile. Aromas of plum, truffle and blackberry are typical. Its structure is soft and velvety, underpinned by a charming spiciness.
