Valdona Grande Réserve Blanc IGP Pays d'Oc

Near Montpellier in the south of France, at the foot of Mont Baudile, grow the grapes for this magnificent wine. In a nearby valley, women raised silkworms in the late 16th century to produce silk and earn a living for themselves and their families. In their honour, the valley became popularly known as VALDONA, the valley of the beautiful women. Our cuvée is dedicated to them.

The label, with its touch of gold, evokes a silky fabric, and its pattern echoes the meticulous work of these women. The sun at the centre of the label symbolises the mild Mediterranean climate.

Characteristics

A noble white wine with a brilliant golden colour and green reflections. Fine, distinctive notes of green pepper, flowers, apricots and pears, together with freshly cut grass, define this wine's aromatic character. On the palate it is fresh, fruity, tangy and well balanced. The finish is long and mineral.

Serving suggestion

It pairs perfectly with white meat, poultry, snails and frogs' legs, but is equally enjoyable on its own as an aperitif.
