La Grande Cave IGP Côtes de Gascogne
«It is a great match for light, delicate starters. Fish and vegetable terrines, summer salads and asparagus dishes are just as glad of its company as boiled beef and veal.»Serving suggestion, Pieroth catalogue
Gascony is not only the region of Armagnac, one of the oldest and noblest brandies in the world, but is also known for a heroic literary figure. With the cry “One for all, all for one”, it should be clear to everyone who is meant – the Three Musketeers! The fourth hero of this story is d'Artagnan, who spent his entire childhood and youth in his native Gascony.
Various local grape varieties form the basis of this wine. In the blend, the strengths of the individual varieties complement one another. This creates a well-rounded, harmonious wine.
Characteristics
