Di Camillo Barrique DOC Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2021
«A pasta with meat ragout or game poultry become a festive feast with this wine. Also a pleasure at the end of the evening, perfect for reminiscing over old memories.»Serving suggestion, Pieroth catalogue
The Abruzzo region lies in central Italy between the Adriatic and the regions of Lazio and Umbria. East of the Apennines, the landscape slopes gently down to the coast. The extremely fertile soil and the climate, influenced by the nearby sea, provide the best conditions for viticulture. At its finest, Montepulciano ranks among the best Italian red wines. This top wine matured for 18 months in barriques.
Grape variety The wines produced from these grapes are richly coloured, earthy to delicately spicy, and full-bodied to high in alcohol. While they age well, they can also be enjoyed young.
Characteristics
This intensely ruby-red wine captivates with its fruit and its rich spiciness. It is very well-rounded, harmonious and elegant.
