Alpvita - Vitamin D3 Calcium - Swiss Made

Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins the body can produce itself – provided the skin receives enough sunlight. In Central Europe, this is not sufficient for many people. That is why vitamin D is one of the most commonly supplemented micronutrients. Alpvita Vitamin D3 combines vitamin D3 with calcium, folic acid and nettle extract. Each ingredient was specifically selected and fulfils a defined function within the formula.

The formula

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, to normal muscle function, and to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium. 15 µg per capsule corresponds to 300% of the daily reference intake.

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body by quantity and contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, to normal muscle function and to normal signalling between nerve cells. 130 mg of calcium per capsule complements the effect of vitamin D3, which supports calcium absorption.

Folic acid supports normal function of the immune system as well as normal cell division and blood formation. 40 µg per capsule corresponds to 20% of the daily reference intake.

Nettle extract adds a plant-based element to the formula. Nettle is one of Europe's most traditional plants and naturally contains numerous secondary plant compounds. Only the leaves are used for the extract. As there are currently no approved EFSA health claims for nettle, no health-related claims are deliberately made.

The formula is vegan and vegetarian and free from gluten and lactose. Produced in Switzerland to strict quality standards – free from colourings, flavourings and preservatives, with verified food safety and control from raw material selection through to the finished product.

One daily intake is sufficient. During an initial phase, 2–3 capsules per day can also be useful to replenish stores more quickly. After that, one capsule per day is enough.
