vina-con-vivencia-dop-carinena-gran-reserva
Vina Con Vivencia DOP Carinena Gran Reserva

Our Gran Reserva has its roots in vineyards once cultivated by Romans, Visigoths, Arabs and Christians – places of diversity and harmony. Winemaker Marta Giménez is recognised and respected for her experience with traditional grape varieties in the region of Aragón. The wine is an expression of harmony and diversity, symbolising the age of tolerance and coexistence (the so-called Convivencia) in Spain and in these vineyards. The fruit of the old Garnacha and Tempranillo vines forms the foundation of wisdom and balance, while the Syrah component contributes the fresher fruit of youth.

Vinification: Each grape variety is harvested separately at its optimal point of ripeness and fermented for more than 10 days in stainless steel tanks to bring out its varietal character. After fermentation, the wines mature for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.

Characteristics

In the glass, an intense cherry-red colour with brick-red hues. Aromas of jam, plums and blackberries with a touch of spice. Subtle smoky wood with notes of tobacco and leather creates a complex bouquet. This Gran Reserva is powerful and round on the palate, wonderfully harmonious with soft tannins, balanced acidity and a long-lasting finish.

Serving suggestion

Excellent with roasts, grilled meat or game (venison, wild boar) and with stews during the cold season. Equally enjoyable with tapas dishes and a variety of cheeses.

Wine details

Vintage

2018

Country

Spain

Region

Aragón / DOP Cariñena

Grape variety

50% Garnacha, 40% Tempranillo and 10% Syrah

Wine type

Red wine

Alcohol

14,5 vol %

Volume

0,75 Ltr

Residual sugar

1,3 g/Ltr

Acidity

5,5 g/Ltr

Serving temperature

16 - 18 °C

Item no.

603613
