As the younger sibling of our Capo dei Capi, it combines Italy’s masterly winemaking craft with the qualities of this magnificent terroir.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe name comes from the Latin “primativus”, meaning “the early ripener”. This is what a botanist called the grape when he discovered it in southern Italy in 1799. Its stronghold lies in Apulia.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eCharacteristics\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eRuby red, with a scent of plums, cherries, coffee and vanilla, it shows dry on the palate with harmoniously integrated acidity.
